If your GPS is turned off it'll ask you to turn it on.
Moreover, if your Network Connection is turned off it'll show you a dialog to turn that on.
After turning them on (in case they were turned off) wait for a few seconds and it'll show you a Progress Dialog tracing your current location and displaying there.
It's all worth it.
